Each edition is a not-to-be-missed event for film buffs! This year, the Dinard Festival of British & Irish Film will take place from 2 to 6 October 2024, celebrating 35 years of enduring love of the silver screen with our British and Irish friends.

The Dinard Festival of British & Irish Film has become a not-to-be-missed event, with an ever-growing reputation among cinephiles, showcasing independent, arthouse and short films, and offering the very best in British and Irish cinema.

At the 34th edition, under the presidency of Catherine Frot, surrounded by a professional jury, Sacha Polak’s film “Silver Haze” stood out from the rest, winning the famous Hitchcock d’Or (as well as being a great success with the public).

The films selected for this 35th edition are divided into thematic sections that tell stories and history, social issues, artistic views and cultures.

Within these sections, 6 films will be selected for the official competition, where the prizes for Best Film, Best Performance and the Barrière Prize will be awarded by a renowned jury. Another parallel competition, “Talent de Demain” Ouest-France, highlights the first films of young directors, rewarded by a Jury of 18 to 25 years old. Finally, a selection of short films, special screenings and screenings for young audiences are also on offer throughout the Festival.
